EXPLORING THE EPIC SAGA OF HERACLES: AN ATLANTEAN LEGEND

Heracles, despite being born to the notorious warrior, Ajax, presents a compelling paradox as the unwilling progeny of war, choosing to carve his distinctive path symbolizing Atlantean resilience and courage. His meritorious ascendancy within the military hierarchy stands as a testament to his fortitude, remarkable not because he was the son of Ajax, but rather in stark defiance of this lineage.

Amidst innumerable hurdles, most perpetuated by his own father, Heracles has emerged as an emblem of stoic bravery, albeit accompanied by an acerbic wit which often masquerades as his only sense of humor. This grueling expedition through the ranks has concurrently engendered a profound distaste for his father, whose inexplicable lack of paternal warmth stands in stark contrast to the loving bond between Athos and his son, Atlas

Hero of Atlantis:
Bravery personified

Heracles has etched his name in Atlantean lore, having distinguished himself in numerous battles, most notably his heroic defense of El Dorado in the East Pacific. His actions, encapsulating Atlantean ideals, have earned him the title of the 'Hero of Atlantis'. Yet, his father remains a relentless critic, unswayed by Heracles' formidable feats.

In a poignant irony, the approval that Heracles yearns for most seems perpetually elusive. The one person he ardently wishes to impress, his father, remains indomitably unimpressed, underscoring the melancholic undercurrent of his otherwise illustrious narrative.

FAME, ADMIRATION AND THE WEIGHT OF EXPECTATIONS

Heracles, a figure of considerable distinction in Atlantean culture, is renowned for his unique departure from the traditional long hair and beard sported by his ancestors. This significant deviation from the norm has occasionally elicited humorous comparisons to a Roman, whose societal norms lean towards shunning such hirsute appearances. However, these playful jests have never undermined the deep respect for Heracles within his society.

His influence and fame have not been confined within the boundaries of Atlantis. On the contrary, they have permeated throughout the globe, to the extent that Heracles has become a universally recognized figure, a name reverberating in households across the continents.

HERCULES

In an attempt to mask their repeated defeats at the hands of Heracles and the military might he commands, the Romans have accorded him a new moniker, one that has echoed through the annals of history. Their begrudging acknowledgement of his superiority is veiled under the name they have bequeathed him—Hercules. Although they chafe at their losses against Atlantis, they can find solace in their defeat to the legendary Hercules.

THE BROTHER HE NEVER HAD

Atlas, Heracles' younger cousin, harbors a profound admiration and affection for him, sentiments that are reciprocated in equal measure. Several years Atlas's senior, Heracles is held in the highest esteem by his younger relative. Indeed, aside from Kara, no individual shares a bond with Atlas as deep and enduring as the one he shares with Heracles.

Heracles views Atlas as the younger sibling he never had, particularly in light of the tragic loss of his own mother and infant brother. This fraternal attachment fuels Heracles' protective instinct over Atlas, leading to a series of comically lopsided bar fights during their excursions beyond Atlantis. Frequently spotted surfing the renowned, albeit artificially constructed, wave break of Neo Mavericks, their camaraderie can truly be characterized as a brotherhood in arms.

THE THRONE BECKONS?

Despite the aspiration of Ajax, Heracles' father, to see his own progeny ascend the Atlantean Throne, Heracles himself exhibits no such inclination. He remains largely indifferent to his father's ambitions, viewing him as a source of immense sorrow in his life. As one of the most intricate personalities within Atlantis, Heracles' steadfast belief and unwavering faith in his cousin, Atlas, serve as a crucial emotional anchor, tethering him to the world amidst his personal turmoil.
