The Source
It has been theorized for millennia that when it comes to water, that, there is, more… Leading scientists cannot explain its properties, other than to state its elemental compounds, and despite it being the source of all life on Earth, let alone perhaps the Universe, human understanding of water is basic at best.
Vincent theory
There is, however, the Vincent theory, which theorizes that water is… Alive… Others since this 21th century theory have come to call water, ‘Aqua’, the source of all life. Everything to do with Aqua is pure speculation, but it is rumored that upon becoming the God of the Sea, Poseidon met with Aqua, and Aqua was very quick, in a benevolent way, to show him who the real ruler of the oceans was, given the ocean was itself Aqua. To say that Poseidon respected Aqua above all else is an understatement. Aqua was the source of his power and was perhaps even in some ways responsible for his constant quarrels with his brother, who as God of the skies, had no such equivalent powerful life force behind him.
A myth
Many of course will question the very existence of Aqua, but that cannot be said of the Atlantean Imperial line, who have made the protection of water and the world’s ocean a cornerstone of the Empire. Whilst the rest of the world may doubt the existence of Aqua, there is no such uncertainty in Atlantis.
Thicker than water
The royal line has since the rise of Atlantis, not failed to notice, that whatever strange abilities they may have, they tend to evaporate the further an Atlantean of royal blood is from the oceans. Despite this, Aqua is not judgmental, nor does she take sides or attempt to influence people or world events. Aqua is the source of all life in the world, and acts as such. With this said, even the most skeptical of people would have to admit that Aqua seems to have chosen to grant the children of Poseidon powers which normal people do not possess…
